Oops.

I’ve been feeling pretty uninspired in the clothing department.  Also super stressed as this semester entailed more work than I’d thought.  Only three more weeks!

In order to put off writing my papers I thought I’d share these in the hopes that maybe I’d find something interesting to wear tomorrow morning for my day in the library (hint: it’ll be jeans and a tshirt and sneakers again… oh well…)

I want…

Some inspiration for right now…

Anne Hathaway in Spain

Here’s Anne Hathaway looking lovely and warm. I’m not crazy about the hat but I really like the scarf and the plaid shirt.

The always chic Rachel Bilson

Of course everyone loves Rachel Bilson and this is sort of an old photo, but I love the simple dress and the wonderful cardigan and the amazing boots. Effortless chic…

Ms. Bilson, yet again

Rachel Bilson again. I really like the contrast with her boots and her jeans and oversized sweater. She doesn’t look too mod or too obviously sexy, but I think it’s a really great look. I would change the bag to something different, not necessarily less slouchy, but a shoulder bag, or for evening a large clutch in something dark and shiny.

lovely Chictopia user

Unfortunately I didn’t copy this lovely Chictopia user’s name, so I’m really sorry, but I like the sweater and the shiny leggings, and the shoes. I really wanted some of these leggings until I actually went to try them on and they were so gross. But I like the look a lot, the sort of leather pants. Nice and edgy and rock and roll, which is how I wished I dressed. But now that I’m in Paris that’s changing a little.

Inauguration fever

Although I am in Paris, I had a wonderful inauguration evening.  I watched it in a crowded Canadian bar full of American students.  It was the quietest I’ve ever heard a crowded bar.

The oath upset me, I already don’t like Justice Roberts, why couldn’t he get it right?  This is one GOOD thing he might do in his career and he flubbed it.

I thought the speech was good, but not as moving as some of his others.

Here’s my post-mortem

Did Obama really sport a bullet-resistant suit? (that was the article I got to following links from other websites, I have no idea if it’s true or not)

The speech Obama gave Sunday at the Lincoln Memorial was also a good one…

My favorite moment (which was actually after the fact):

The first couple’s first dance to Beyonce’s cover of “At Last” (which was really quite good).  I know it’s more of a love song, but I like the double meaning and how happy they look dancing.

All in all, as exciting as it would have been to be in Washington, I wouldn’t’ve gone down to the Mall, it was waaaay too cold and crowded.  I mean, traffic jams at 5 am?  There’s a much better view from the TV…

Little J at the gym?

Gossip Girl here, Teen Vogue posted an interview with Little J that they apparently conducted at the gym… (click)

Worth checking out for the awkward quotes and photos (that look like they were taken by an intern).

Jail-bait Jenny:

Classy belly button ring, Blair wouldn’t approve.

Golden Globes 2009 My Best Dressed List

What I loved from the pictures I’ve found from the 2009 Golden Globes.

Trends on the red carpet: mermaid dresses, ruffles, neutral and pale colors – beige, white, silver, gold, “sand.”  BIG accessories, statement necklaces and earrings, cuffs etc.
